The IFRS Symposium 2022 with Mattias Elfgren & Tobias Stråhle from Pwc
A presentation on reverse acquisitions and prospectus in practice.
This year, Tiego participated with Pwc in the IFRS Symposium and offered an informative presentation on "reverse acquisitions and prospectus in practice". Tobias Stråhle from Pwc, who has extensive experience with reverse acquisitions, delves into how he views a reverse acquisition and the problems that can arise during the process. We also gain deep knowledge in both areas from Mattias Elfgren, who presents several system-based solution alternatives for both work processes. A packed presentation by both parties who share their thoughts, experiences, and proven working methods.

Financial leasing according to RKR R5 in practice at Kommek 2022
Presentation by Aspia & Tiego on RKR R5 together with Aspia & Tiego
Aspia and Tiego participated in Kommek 2022 in Malmö with a presentation on RKR R5. Marcus Johansson, Mattias Elfgren, and Kevin Hall discussed how the regulations have evolved and the accounting technique in practice. They also addressed some of the issues raised in audit reports and made suggestions on how transparency could be increased if the leasing-related note information is expanded.

Welcome to a breakfast seminar at Tiego on Wednesday, January 15 at 8-10 am. The presentation at the seminar is based on PwC's example financial statements, and we have also read a number of early adopters' financial statements to provide users with inspiration on how to design the note information. We will discuss, among other things, that several early adopters provide information about potential liabilities when there is an option to continue leasing (for cases where the company is not reasonably certain to extend).

Consultants from Tiego participated in the FAR day in November where many agreed that changes in lease contracts are difficult, especially reductions in contracts. It was even said by experts that they have not yet seen any provider that can handle different combinations completely correctly. We took this as a challenge to show that it is not true! Now that the transition to IFRS 16 is completed for most, the job of applying the rules during the current year begins. This involves handling everything from index increases and extensions to more complex contract events. In this presentation, Tiego and Scandi Standard share their experiences from the transition with full retroactivity, where the rules have been applied historically as well.

Experiences from mapping and implementation of IFRS 16

With the new IFRS standard for lease agreements, IFRS 16, which came into force on January 1, 2019, all IFRS companies that have lease agreements in their operations are affected. This means that the previous classification of operating and finance leases has been replaced with a model where all contracts are reported in the balance sheet as an asset and as a liability.
Tiego provides both systems and training on the subject and can therefore solve and explain it for you and your company.
