Better Reporting Flow and Stronger Tools – TGA 7.10 in Focus at the User Day
TGA 7.10 – Small Improvements, Big Difference
On the morning of May 20, users of Tiego Group Accounting (TGA) gathered for a thorough walkthrough of version 7.10. More than 30 participants joined – both in person and via Teams – ready to get up to speed on new features, enhancements, and what’s coming next. And, as always, the dialogue was just as valuable as the demo itself.
A Solid Foundation – Tested in the Real World
Version 7.10 is far from a “prototype.” It has already been used in several workshops, implementations, and pilot environments since fall 2024. On May 12, it was officially released – just in time for all participants to get the full walkthrough.
 All upgrades are carried out in dialogue with each customer – nothing is left to chance.
We also shared how our development process has become more structured. With clearly defined roles, test plans, and code reviews from multiple angles, the result is a more stable system – and faster handling whenever adjustments are needed.
Focus on User-Friendliness – Reporting Made Easier
For reporting users, several new features are immediately noticeable: faster loading in “Manage Specifications,” smarter filters, and improvements in EditSpec for better handling of large data volumes. The web experience is simply smoother – something we know many have requested.
The checklist in the portal has also been upgraded. It helps you keep track of which companies are done, what remains – and what’s been signed off. More users are now using it as a “second screen” during reporting, and the feedback has been very positive.
More Tools for Controllers and System Administrators
A large part of the session was dedicated to new functionality for controllers and SysAdmins. We showcased, among other things:
- History tracking: not only can you see the current value, but also what it was before – and who changed it. 
- New ownership register: simplifies automation of postings and provides better control over ownership changes. 
- Report Designer: eliminations using formulas, templates, and logic directly in the system. 
We also covered new six-column reports, KPIs directly in the database, and improved currency handling when locking subsidiaries. All designed to give you more power and control in the closing process – without adding complexity.
Clearer Financial Statements – Better Detail Control
One of the most appreciated new features was the control function for assets and liabilities – complementing the one already in place for equity. It helps identify internal reclassifications that don’t balance correctly and provides a stronger foundation for both control and audit.
We also demonstrated how acquisition dates are now handled automatically during adjustments – reducing manual work while maintaining full visibility during the month of change.
Integration, Data Quality, and More Self-Service
TGA’s integrations now run through a unified framework – improving logging, traceability, and support. More customers are choosing our “packaged” integration solutions, which offer strong control with a low setup threshold.
 We also demonstrated new self-service tools for deleting entities, changing company codes, and improving visibility in currency management.
Data validation now happens directly during input, and error messages are clearer – reducing annoying interruptions and improving the quality of submitted data.
Forecasts, Sustainability Data, and What’s Coming Next
Several users are now building forecasts directly in TGA, using enhanced tools for copying outcomes, managing periods, and updating models. We have also improved the operational data form – especially for those reporting sustainability or volume data.
Toward the end of the day, we discussed what’s ahead: web-based dashboards, IFRS/K3 tags in matrices, shared document spaces via Notice Board, and better onboarding for new users.
 All designed to make TGA even more complete – and at the same time, even easier to use.
